This is Skylar. There will be more pics from this shoot very soon!
This year I did another “Walk About” shoot at the Ren Faire.
This time I had up and coming model Sam Paguita with me.
I had a blast finding places in the village take pics of her, but you know I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to shoot photos of a few other people Guests & Rennies and even a few puppies (Greyhounds)!
Follow this link to Flickr and enjoy the entire photo set!
Like and Comment on them too!
At the end of the day is when I get my best opportunity to capture the images of the beautiful girls selling flowers to the guests.
Leap year comes once every 4 years. Well, so does Leap Day! So what better way to celebrate but to go to the Faire and take photos of the Leap People!

Back to the Yard 2020
Here is my second visit to the AZRF from March 3rd. Once again I am presenting most of the images in a single set of 393 images, along with a few Sub Sets to highlight some folks as well.
Here are the links to the sets I have so far:
AZ Ren Faire 2019 – Sunday February 10th (Opening Weekend)*
This year’s post of my first visit to AZRF is a little different. I’ve broken out a few select images into their own sets on Flickr. These images are not contained in the “Main” set so you need to view the subsets in order to see all of the images.
I’ve provided links to all the sets right here. As well as a few teaser images selected at random just to whet your whistle!
As promised, here are the links to the Main set & Sub-Sets on Flickr
The Main Set: There are 241 images here. Please take your time while viewing and feel free to leave some comments!
Patrice Ruane – The Spinet Girl: Patrice is always my first stop when I visit the AZRF. Take some time to view my images of her over the years!
Gwendolyn Show: I have a confession: I have always been intrigued by Gwendolyn whenever I have seen here during previous visits to AZRF, but never had the opportunity to talk to her. This year I saw here standing at the stone bridge, holding up her “Advice” sign and I got a few candids and approached to show her. And then, something great happened…we started chatting and the conversation was just so…natural. She is a very fun person to talk to! It was just a few minutes until her next show at the Royal Pavillion, so I decided to take some more pics of her performance. I’m so glad I did! And now I share them with you!
Alina Masquerade: Alina is a local Cosplayer who was visiting AZRF as a Pirate Wench. at the end of Gwendolyn’s performing at the Royal Pavillion she and her photographer came in to shoot a few photos. But the next event in the Pavilion was starting and we all had to leave.
I asked if I could shoot with her, and we wound up in the Green Grass field where folks were gathering for the Fire Whip show. It was a challenge in such bright direct sunlight, but Alina made it work.
Street Juggler: The last subset is just a fun little animation of a street juggler and the photos I used to create it.
* As always, if you were kind enough to pose for my camera and would like copies of those images to share and use in your social media, please contact me. Include your name, the file name/s of the images you would like, and your preferred email address and I’ll Dropbox the images for you. 🙂
I actually think I am getting a bit better at creating these animations. But I’m not the best one to judge. You tell Me

This marks my 6th adventure at the Yard. And every time I attend I meet the most gracious and talented models. This time was no different. Once again there was an Amazing Gathering of Talented Photographers and Models attending the Junkyard in Wittmann Az. for a day of creation.
This year I recruited my friend Alex (AKA Rage of the Dark Ones) to be my assistant and Voice Activated Light Stand. I am extremely grateful he was with me this time as I don’t think I would have been as successful without his help!
As soon as we arrived, we encountered a beautiful, dark curly-haired model named Miss Loree. Now, as it happens, Miss Loree is a friend of Rage’s. In fact, she noticed him first…(He’s kinda hard to miss, even in a crowd) and came over to greet him. So, naturally I asked to shoot with her. The resulting images are wonderful, if I do say so myself!
She is a tall, olive skinned beautiful woman. Very professional, and patient! I truly appreciated that last quality as we were working in a kinda cramped space with a mixture of shade and direct sunlight that presented some challenges which took a bit of creative work to overcome. Also, she exudes a Classic Beauty that just makes every pose glamorous! (Model Mayhem)
Here’s a taste of what I mean:
If you have been following my Photography on Social Media at all, you probably know this next model. A gorgeous, dark-haired, blue eyed beauty: Nikki Goode.
I have worked with Nikki several times in the past, and each time the results were fantastic! She has an ease about her along with unbounded energy, and a willingness to try any idea along with the skill to pull it off! This time was no different: (IG)
The last model I am Showcasing was Nikki’s friend Devan. Devan was attending her very first Junkyard Shoot. In fact, this was her modeling debut!
I am Honored and Thrilled to have been among the first photographers to shoot with her and hopefully provide her with high quality Professional Level images for her book. (IG)
Let me show you what I’m talking about:
Please keep checking back for more!
I am really excited about sharing more images of the talented models I worked with at this event!
