Devan Rodgers’ next animation is the “Hair Toss”. Unlike the Hair Flip…the Hair Toss doesn’t require the model to get dizzy.
Once again, this was shot at “Sasserfraz Pictures – Home Of “The Junkyard Shoot out”
This marks my 6th adventure at the Yard. And every time I attend I meet the most gracious and talented models. This time was no different. Once again there was an Amazing Gathering of Talented Photographers and Models attending the Junkyard in Wittmann Az. for a day of creation.
This year I recruited my friend Alex (AKA Rage of the Dark Ones) to be my assistant and Voice Activated Light Stand. I am extremely grateful he was with me this time as I don’t think I would have been as successful without his help!
As soon as we arrived, we encountered a beautiful, dark curly-haired model named Miss Loree. Now, as it happens, Miss Loree is a friend of Rage’s. In fact, she noticed him first…(He’s kinda hard to miss, even in a crowd) and came over to greet him. So, naturally I asked to shoot with her. The resulting images are wonderful, if I do say so myself!
She is a tall, olive skinned beautiful woman. Very professional, and patient! I truly appreciated that last quality as we were working in a kinda cramped space with a mixture of shade and direct sunlight that presented some challenges which took a bit of creative work to overcome. Also, she exudes a Classic Beauty that just makes every pose glamorous! (Model Mayhem)
Here’s a taste of what I mean:
If you have been following my Photography on Social Media at all, you probably know this next model. A gorgeous, dark-haired, blue eyed beauty: Nikki Goode.
I have worked with Nikki several times in the past, and each time the results were fantastic! She has an ease about her along with unbounded energy, and a willingness to try any idea along with the skill to pull it off! This time was no different: (IG)
The last model I am Showcasing was Nikki’s friend Devan. Devan was attending her very first Junkyard Shoot. In fact, this was her modeling debut!
I am Honored and Thrilled to have been among the first photographers to shoot with her and hopefully provide her with high quality Professional Level images for her book. (IG)
Let me show you what I’m talking about:
Please keep checking back for more!
I am really excited about sharing more images of the talented models I worked with at this event!
Well…we did it again! A group of Very Talented Models and Photographers (and me!) all convened in Whittman AZ at our favorite Auto Junk Yard to shoot amazing images together…and just have a great time!
Every time I go, I meet someone new and get great photos! Case in Point: Meet new model Katyln.
See more pics of Katlyn and a whole bunch more on my Flickr stream.
A few more images added to the April Fools Junkyard Photoshoot set.
This time it’s the beautiful and mysterious: Sasha Streeter and her new friend Hailey Harper who joined us for a quick shoot at the Junkyard
The full set can be found on Flickr
James Sasser’s Sasserfraz Pictures Annual Junkyard Shootout happened last Saturday. This was the third time I have attended the Junkyard Shootout, and by far it was the best attended of the 3. Prior to the day I had reached out to several models to arrange to shoot with them. We talked about outfits and themes and I started planning in my head how and where we would shoot…but I am also keenly aware that the best images are often the result of just shooting from the hip, without a ton of pre-planned concepts.
So when the opportunity to work with Krys presented itself, I was thrilled! She is talented, stunningly attractive, very petite, willing and able to “do what it takes” to create great images.
This image is a tight crop from a set we shot of Krys wearing just a long hooded cloak while standing on the upper level of a storage garage which she had to climb a pretty tall ladder to get to.
It should go without saying that there will be more images of Krys in the Cloak coming soon. But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy viewing “Krys Face” while you wait.
My very first Junkyard Photo Shoot Shootout with some truly talented models and photographers!
Due to the lateness of the day when I arrived I wasn’t able to fully explore all the nooks and crannies that this space has to offer…but I was very fortunate to be able to have shot with these gracious models and for that I am Thankful!
Thank you to the organizers of this event! I am looking forward to doing this again! (Uh…After the summer!)
